Formula
Needed grade = (target × 100 − current × known%) ÷ (100 − known%)
This is the reverse of a weighted average formula: you know the desired end result and work backwards to find what the last, still-unknown part must be. The smaller the remaining weight, the more extreme the needed grade can be.
