Discount Calculator
Many stores make discounts confusing by showing them in different ways. How often do you see "25% off" but doubt whether it's really a good deal? This calculator shows both sides: set a discount % and see the final price, or enter two prices to reveal the hidden discount percentage. Perfect for smart shopping.

- ¥20

- 75% van origineel
How this was calculated
- 1Discount amount¥80 × 25% = ¥20
- 2Final price¥80 − ¥20 = ¥60
公式
Discount amount = Original price × (Discount % ÷ 100). Final price = Original price − Discount amount
Discount works as a percentage of the original price. 25% off EUR 100 means EUR 25 off, so you pay EUR 75. Backwards: if a shirt from EUR 50 now costs EUR 37.50, that's ((50 − 37.50) ÷ 50) × 100 = 25% off. Many stores show only the final price without the percentage, making it hard to compare deals.

Reference table
| Discount % | You pay | Example (EUR 100) |
|---|---|---|
| 10% | 90% | EUR 90 |
| 20% | 80% | EUR 80 |
| 25% | 75% | EUR 75 |
| 33% | 67% | EUR 67 |
| 50% | 50% | EUR 50 |
The higher the discount %, the less you pay. 50% off means half price!
よくある間違い
- Adding two discounts sequentially instead of combining them (25% + 25% ≠ 50%).
- Missing discount traps: "50% off already reduced items" — always check the base prices.
- Confusing discount percentage with discount amount (25% off EUR 100 ≠ EUR 25 off any price).
活用シーン
- Shopping: Check if a "discount" is really better than another brand/store without discount.
- Online shopping: Compare the real final price after all discounts and shipping.
- Black Friday/Sales: Calculate how much you really save on bulk purchases with lower discount %.
よくある質問
What does "25% discount" mean?
25% discount means you subtract 25% of the original price. So on EUR 100 you pay EUR 25 less (EUR 75 total). On EUR 200 you pay EUR 50 less (EUR 150 total). The percentage is always of the ORIGINAL price, not what you pay.
Does "buy 2, get 25% off the 2nd" mean the same as 25% discount?
No! "Buy 2, get 25% off the 2nd" is much better than regular 25% discount. On two EUR 50 shirts you pay: EUR 50 + EUR 37.50 = EUR 87.50 (12.5% average discount). With normal 25% discount you'd pay EUR 37.50 + EUR 37.50 = EUR 75. So make sure you read your offers carefully!
