📅 Exam Countdown Calculator
Enter the date of your exam or test to instantly see how many days and weeks you have left to prepare. A concrete number of days makes study planning far more realistic than a vague sense of "a few weeks left", and helps you start on time.
Formula
Days remaining = exam date − today
The calculator counts the number of whole days between today and the given date, based on the date in your own timezone (i.e. midnight-to-midnight, not exactly 24-hour periods). The number of weeks is simply the day count divided by 7. A date in the past gives a negative value, meaning the exam has already happened.
Steps
- 1Select the date of your exam or test in the date picker.
- 2The calculator automatically compares that date with today's date.
- 3Read the remaining days and weeks to build your study plan.
Weeks to days conversion table
| Weeks | Days |
|---|---|
| 1 | 7 |
| 2 | 14 |
| 4 | 28 |
| 6 | 42 |
| 8 | 56 |
| 12 | 84 |
| 16 | 112 |
Handy for quickly converting your remaining weeks into days when planning study sessions.
commonMistakes
- Only starting to plan study time right before the exam, while planning early gives more flexibility.
- Not counting weekends or holidays as available study days, making the plan overly optimistic.
- Assuming "a few weeks left" is enough without knowing the exact number of days, letting time quietly slip away.
useCases
- Building a study schedule based on the time remaining.
- Setting deadlines for practice tests or revision sessions well ahead of the real date.
- Comparing multiple exams to see which one needs preparation first.
