Formula
Cost = (distance รท 100) ร consumption ร price per litre
A carโs consumption is usually given per 100 kilometres. You divide the distance by 100 to find how many times that consumption applies, multiply by the consumption for the number of litres, and multiply that by the price per litre for the total cost.

How do I convert km/litre to L/100km?
Divide 100 by your km/litre figure. For example 16.7 km/L becomes 100 รท 16.7 โ 6 L/100km.
