Calorie Calculator (TDEE)

Your TDEE (total daily energy expenditure) is the number of calories you burn per day, including activity. This figure is your starting point for maintaining, losing or gaining weight.

Result

2,662 kcal/dag

Daily calorie burn (TDEE)

Maintenance (keep weight stable)
2,662 kcal
How this was calculated
  1. 1BMR (basal metabolic rate)
  2. 2Multiply by activity factorร— 1.55 = 2,662 kcal

Formula

TDEE = BMR ร— activity factor

The calculator first computes your BMR using the Mifflin-St Jeor formula and multiplies it by a factor matching how active you are: 1.2 for a sedentary lifestyle up to 1.9 for elite athletes. The more active you are, the higher your total burn above your BMR.

Worked examples

BMR 1780 kcal, moderately active

โ†’ TDEE โ‰ˆ 2759 kcal/day.

Common mistakes

  • Overestimating your own activity level, which inflates the calculated burn.

Limitations

  • This is an estimate; your actual burn can differ due to individual factors. Track your weight over a few weeks to fine-tune your own figure.

When to use it

  • Setting a calorie target for losing weight (eat less than your TDEE) or gaining (eat more).

Frequently asked questions
